Subbu joined Cognizant to head the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Domain Consulting Group out of Chennai. He subsequently moved into the Independent Verification & Validation (Testing) practice to manage the testing for their BFS customers.
Subbu qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and has been an auditor, accountant and Investment Banker.
He subsequently spent 18 months in Canada in the study of trading in listed derivatives at the Canadian Securities Institute.
After returning to India, he joined as a director in Ritechoice Technologies, a back-office solutions provider to the brokerage industry where he was responsible for conceptualizing and building their Equities trades processing solution for DSP Merrill Lynch and its subsequent productization. He was also instrumental in the development of a decision support tool for trading in listed Equity and Index Options & Futures for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell.
