STeP-IN Forum has benefited more than 11,000 test professionals, managers, architects, Vice Presidents and CXOs through hundreds of plenary sessions, tutorials and evening talks. Over the years, STeP-IN has produced 9 international summits, 8 theme conferences across different locations in India. The Annual STeP-IN SUMMIT has grown to be one of the largest Testing Conferences in the Asia-Pacific Region.
STeP-IN, the Forum for Software Testing Practitioners, was launched in October 2003 at Bangalore. STeP-IN‚ registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, operates on a Non-Profit basis.
Within a span of a decade of its formation, STeP-IN has opened chapters at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune. STeP-IN is proud to say that it has grown to 300+ active contributors.
We operate with volunteers from the Indian Testing Fraternity, STeP-IN has always remained a Forum created by the software tester, for the software tester and of the software tester. The leadership teams at STeP-IN (the Steering Committee and the Executive committees) comprise of stalwarts from the IT industry. The various posts on these committees are for tenure of 2 years each.

To help prepare promising leaders to face future challenges in the Indian Testing Industry, the Forum aims at bringing together software test professionals, testing gurus, academicians and service / product vendors to share Software Testing related experiences.

Our Activities:
STeP-IN SUMMIT: The International Conference on Software Testing is an annual conference that brings together leading industry experts, practitioners, and technology vendors. Over the years it has grown to become a 5-day event spread across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai.
Theme Conferences and Colloquiums: These are smaller events (1-2 days) on specific themes
Evening Talks: 2 hour events at which a subject matter expert shares his knowledge on a specific topic. This is followed by tea and networking. Evening Talks are held bi-monthly.SIGs (Special Interest Groups) that work on test related specific topics
White Papers, Technical Reports, and Industrial Research in cooperation with organizations
Testing Portal: vertical portal on Testing for Practitioners and experts to upload & share testing related blogs white papers, technical articles etc.
Test Leadership Awards and Recognition to industry veterans.
