Sudhir Patnaik, Group Manager – QA & ES, Intuit Inc – IDC

Sudhir PatnaikSudhir has over 15 years of experience in academic research, software development and testing. Prior to joining Intuit, he was working at Accelrys Inc. - Bangalore R&D Center of Excellence as Director of Product Testing & Technical Services team responsible for testing of products in the Life Sciences domain. Other companies where he has worked earlier include Misys Healthcare Systems Inc., Tucson, AZ and Siri Technologies, Bangalore. Sudhir has worked in different industry domain areas such as Aerospace, Logistics, Healthcare, Financial Services and Life Sciences involving client/server, legacy and Internet technologies.

His area of experience in testing includes establishing test teams and test labs, developing testing strategies, test metrics, identifying automation opportunities, and management of the test life cycle. He has utilized various automated testing tools and worked on varied and diverse technology platforms. He has published & presented many articles in QAI, SEPG and STeP-IN Conferences in India. Sudhir is a member of Steering Committee in the STeP-IN Forum and is in the Advisory Board of QAGuild.com. He has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and Master Degree in Electronics & Communication from NIT, Rourkela. Sudhir is an SEI Authorized TSP Coach and Certified SCRUM Master.

Anjankumar Nayak, Project Lead – QA, McAfee Software India

Anjan works as a Project Lead - QA, at McAfee Software India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. His team is focused on with standard black box testing practices under a serried of products in Data Protection/Security domain.

He has also worked with Accelrys Software Solutions and was responsible for leading the testing efforts for the Bioinformatics Product line. He has 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and has contributed significantly to the area of test automation (mainly Automation of Regression Testing of the Legacy Application on the GUI as well as commandline interface) in Misys Healthcare Systems, Bangalore (a previous employer) and was actively involved in driving automated testing efforts in Accelrys on both the Client and the Server side. Anjan was also a part of the CMMi Process Improvement group within Accelrys. His other areas of interest include: test environment set-up, Database setup, Installation testing, cross platform testing, strategizing under different test conditions for better results and Process Improvement. He has worked towards improvising and simplifying metrics collection techniques for better understanding at different levels within the organization and has utilized various automated testing tools such as WinRunner, Test Director and SilkTest and has worked on varied platforms including VAX/VMS, SGI/IRIX, HP/Tru64, IBM /AIX, Sun/Solaris, RH/Linux Windows Platforms, and Macintosh.
