Mr. Aravind Jannu, IAS, Director, Directorate of IT & Biotechnology, Govt. of Karnataka, MD, KEONICS, and MD, KBITS

Shri Aravind Jannu joined the Karnataka Administrative Service in 1977, having stood first in the State, and was inducted into the Indian Administrative Service from 1987.

He has served in various sectors of Government during these 31 years. Some of them are: Revenue, Rural Development, District Administration & Law and Order, Zilla Panchayats, Urban Development & Municipal Administration, Mines and minerals, Sugar, Agriculture, Agricultural Credit, Sericulture and Information & Publicity.

He has recently served as Secretary to the Government in the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment for the last 1 1/4 years, which includes Ecology, Bio-diversity, Lake Development, Pollution Control & Waste Management and Environment. He currently works as Managing Director, KEONICS and Director, IT & BT, Govt. of Karnataka.

He is married and has two sons.
