Systems development can be very complex considering the hardware, software, and people involved. In order to be successful, and to appear like a real hero, one needs to take a systematic and rational approach using Rational Quality Manager. This presentation shows attendees how an IBM Rational tooling approach can help them to integrate people, process and projects together.

Estimating Automation Projects – A Big Challenge

Automation projects ,sometimes, go crazy in deliveries due to inaccurate estimation done by the project managers. As a consequence, either there is limited resources allocated to the assignment, or there might be tight schedule to complete the work resulting in poor deliveries. Usually, automation project estimation is a specialized topic in itself. This requires thorough understanding of the system functionality, the skill set of resource, availability of environments and most importantly the issues that arise out of tool and the scripting. The paper provides estimation approaches specifically tailored for automation projects and discusses some of the pertinent issues.

Software Test Project Management : CoDeC

A software development project will typically have 25-30% effort spent on testing the system. A testing project will have typically 9 different phases from Test requirements gathering to Release and maintenance of the system. This presentation discusses 3 important phases in a testing project life cycle and some tools and techniques which could be used in each of these phases. These tools and techniques are encouraged to use in a testing project in the expectation of achieving the following objectives.
