Growing Your IT Business? Head for the Right Queue

In today's relatively mature IT market, an application service provider (ASP) finds that the road to broadening their service profile passes through the difficult Performance Engineering (PE) terrain. Additionally, (i) customers are increasingly demanding higher levels of product quality in terms of its performance, and (ii) the growing competition seeks to convert this into a source of strength. Unfortunately the ASP finds that navigating this terrain in a way that can meet heightened customer expectations, as well as the increased competition, is somewhat difficult: PE, by its quantitative nature, poses an entry barrier and commodity approaches usually fail.

In this talk, the speakers' will use representative real-life situations to explore the nature of the problem, and discuss state-of-the-art techniques and practices in PE to address them.
