If yes then STeP-IN Forum invites speakers who can present at STeP-IN SUMMIT 2012 – the 9th annual International Conference on Software Testing.
STeP-IN SUMMIT 2012 promises to be a great platform for you to share your experiences and best Practices with energetic and enthusiastic fellow Testing Professionals.
If you want to speak at the Conference please send us your submission for the same. The sessions are Plenary Sessions of duration 40 minutes each or Tutorial Workshops of 3 hours 30 minutes each (half-day). Testing Gurus and Industry Leaders are invited to share their knowledge, experience and case studies with a highly charged audience. Organizations can share their best practices with conference delegates.
We invite Submissions for both tutorial workshops and plenary sessions under the following categories:

- Customer Quality Driven Test Strategies (with Case Study)
- Automated Test Infrastructure & Test Labs
- Mobile Test Automation Platforms and Frameworks
- End-to-End Test Automation and Deployment Testing

- Tool agnostic test automation frameworks
- Latest trends in Test Estimation techniques & Metrics
- Defect Prevention and Management
- Model Based Testing
- Building HPTO – High performing Testing Organizations or teams
- Non-Functional Testing on SaaS & Mobile Applications
- Success stories and lessons learned in testing on agile teams
- Transforming towards Agile Leadership
- Testing challenges in a Distributed Agile Development Environment
- Impact of SaaS / SOA / Cloud based application development on IT infrastructure
- Latest trends in White-box & Unit Testing
NOTE: Selection is based on rigorous review by the Technical Committee. Any topic of interest, not listed above is also welcome.
Authors of selected papers will be invited to present at STeP-IN SUMMIT 2012 at any of the locations mentioned above.
Some tips for sure-shot selection (Guidelines for Submission):
- Does my presentation topic excite people?
- Is what I have to say new content? (Should not have already been covered at another conference)
- Does the content educate the audience? How does it add value?
- What is the audience’s key take-away from my presentation?
- Are my thoughts clearly expressed?
- Layout / grammar / basic presentation
The Technical Review committee will be looking for evidence that you are an expert in the topic that you have proposed and that the work is practically relevant and has originality and innovation. Make sure to leverage your individual or organizational expertise in the abstract submission.
Content Guidelines:
- Should be original material with a well-defined focus on the chosen topic
- Must show examples, practical applications, cause & effect, and be supported by case studies
- Company confidential information should NOT be disclosed.
- Content should advance the Body of Knowledge for Testing and QA professionals
- Sales pitches or distribution of marketing materials during presentations are strictly prohibited. All product demos, marketing / sales presentations would come under a sponsored and notified “Corporate Presentation Slot”
Documentation Guidelines for a Tutorial Workshop (Duration: 4 hours)
- The submission must include:
- An abstract of the topic - Minimum 500 words - must include Audience Prerequisites (if any), Intended Audience, Key Takeaways, Flow of content, Brief Description of any case studies included
- A speaker profile (about 250 words) clearly highlighting the author’s experience and expertise in the chosen topic
- Slide deck of the presentation - About 30-40 slides of core content (additional explanations for the slides can be added to the notes section)
- Completely filled in Speaker Submission Form (in the given Word template)
Slide deck format - Powerpoint
- 1-2 slides for abstract, 1 slide for profile, rest for core content of presentation
- Lettering of core content to be at least Size 20+ font.
- Ideally - six (6) lines per slide
Please restrict usage of images / graphics for ornamental purposes at this selection stage. These can be added to the final slide sets of selected speakers.
You may use the notes option in PowerPoint to elucidate certain points
Documentation Guidelines for a Plenary Session (Duration: 40 minutes)
