Abstract

This paper describes Test Automation Harness developed for testing of a business critical Application in the telecom domain. The application under test (AUT) is a large telecom CRM Siebel application having a complex architecture with more than 25 interfaces. With 90 days delivery cycle that required getting maximum test coverage in 3 days regression cycle, need for large amount of test data was a blocker for manual execution.

The solution is provided by test automation harness having highly configurable settings to cover all the required workflows. It was developed with object oriented approach with the limited number of scenarios. The approach was based the complete understanding of underlying business processes rather than automating each individual workflow separately.

Automated test harness benefited in the following.
