Renu Rajani, Service Area Leader - Testing IBM Global Services, India

Renu Rajani is Service Area leader for testing at IBM India Application Services and leads a team of testing professionals across geographies and across industries. Prior to joining IBM, she created and led an independent testing services team for telecom and high-tech customers as principal consultant at Satyam. Renu has 17 years of experience in IT and Consulting. She has had experience of setting up testing practice (vMoksha Technologies), supply chain practice (KPMG - Bearing Point).

Renu is author of book on Software Testing - Effective Methods, Tools and Techniques published by Tata McGraw Hill (ISBN: 0-07-058352-8).

Renu holds an MS (Management) degree from Purdue University USA, and a BTech in Computer Science. In addition, she holds CSTE, PMP, CPIM and CFA certifications.

Test Marketplace grew in leaps and bounds in last 5 years would continue to grow with testing as key identified area of oursourcing by most clients. However customer expectations are continuously changing. Customers earlier outsourced testing to get additional capacity and sourcing of testing services for unpredictable schedules of test cycles. This has led to mushrooming of test industry promising capacity and flexibility. Today, multi-vendor sourcing is the norm with most customers and customers increasingly look for best methods, innovators in testing, ability to test for cutting edge needs (SOA Apps..), and ability to improve quality of testing with optimal test efforts. Test vendors would need to create differentiation to be part of next wave of Testing growth.
